Privacy policy

Effective 22 October 2026

In short: Sorced has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your progress stays on your iPhone. The game sends anonymous play stats and crash reports that help me improve it. You can turn that off at any time in Settings.

Who makes Sorced

Sorced is made by Ruben Depover, an independent developer, who is responsible for the data described here. You can reach me at ruben.depover@gmail.com.

What stays on your device

Your save game (progress, stars, unlocks, settings) is stored only on your iPhone. It isn't uploaded anywhere, and deleting the app deletes it.

What is sent

Unless you turn off Share play stats in Sorced's Settings, the game sends:

What is never collected

No name, email address or account; no contacts, photos or precise location; no advertising identifier; and no tracking across other apps or websites. Your IP address is discarded when the data arrives, and no location is derived from it.

Who processes it

The stats are stored with PostHog, an analytics service, in its EU data centre, on my behalf and only for the purposes below. The data isn't sold or shared with anyone else.

Why

To find duels that are too hard or too easy, strokes the game misreads, and crashes, so they can be fixed. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the game fair, stable and fun. The data is anonymous and limited to what that needs, and you can object at any time by turning sharing off.

How long it's kept

Stats are kept for 12 months, then deleted.

Your choices

Children

Sorced isn't aimed at children under 13, and the stats contain nothing that identifies a person.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
